What evolutionary computation can do for games?
This talk introduces the motivation of introducing evolutionary computation to games and illustrates how evolutionary computation techniques have been applied to board games and video games using some examples, including the use of evolutionary computation for learning policies, planning game action sequences (e.g., rolling horizon), and designing (e.g., search-based procedural content generation, the combination of evolutionary computation and machine learning methods for procedural content generation).
